Danbury's spring clean up day is slated for April 16th through the 19th. A dumpster will be placed at the maintenance shed on Second Street. A container will be there beginning Friday, April 16 and will be removed very early Monday morning, April 19th. The city is not responsible for accidents and strongly discourages dumpster diving. If you have items that may be useful to someone else, please leave them to the side of the dumpster.
CHN will still pick up appliances curbside, but you will need an appliance tag which is available at Danbury City Hall.
Your normal garbage pickup will still be taken from your curb on the 16th.
The Review will again print a Free-For-All section if you would like to rid your home of items which still have value before clean up weekend. In this section, anyone may post any items which are destined for the dumpster free of charge with the understanding the item(s) are being given away. Anyone interested in the item(s) may then call for more details. Or, if you choose to leave a variety of goodies on the curb throughout the week, give us your address, and we'll post that.
