Siouxland Community Blood Bank wishes to thank those involved in the Danbury Community Blood Drive which was held on August 2nd. Those donors and volunteers who contributed to the success of the blood drive deserve our gratitude.
At this blood drive, 26 people registered to donate, and the staff collected a total of 25 units of lifesaving blood. Karre Sexton and JoAnn Nielsen reached the 5 gallon milestone, Ben Twitchell hit the gallon mark, and a new donor was recruited. Others who gave their time to give blood were Jean Barry, Shelly Boyle, Amy Bruning, Lynn Buth, Linda Colbert, Rita Dirksen, Dustin Ladd, Mark Lorenzen, Bob Mohrhauser, Greg Pithan, Jeremy Schmidt, Russ Schmidt, Brian Seuntjens, Kurt Seuntjens, Diana Sexton, Jay Sexton, Joe Sohm, John Treiber, Corey Trucke, Jim Twitchell, Kay Wessling, and Scott Yockey.
Siouxland Community Blood Bank exists to make a difference in people’s lives by providing a safe and adequate supply of blood components and related services to 35 area hospitals. They could never accomplish their mission without the continued help and enthusiasm of communities like Danbury.
