It’s Corn Days Time!

Yes, there will be a Corn Days this year. A meeting with just a few people present was held last week, and it was decided that we would hold Corn Days September 23 and 24. The schedule, for now, is a little light, but with the lack of volunteers only a light schedule is available. Hint, hint!
Currently, the plan is to have the annual parade on Saturday at noon. Prior to the parade’s beginning, the Corn Days royalty will be announced at the parade announcer’s stand by the fire station on Main Street. Following the parade, a 1-pitch softball tourney and horseshoe tournament are planned at the park. On Sunday, a volleyball tournament will be held outside in the grass at the rec center. In case of rain, the tournament will move inside.
Any organization or individual who is interested in helping any activity or helping with concessions on either day or has an event they would like to add to the itinerary is asked to call either Steve or Stacie Halbur at 883-2147 or Lynn Buth at 893-2160 or review@danbury-ia.com.
