Jan Marie Barry and Gabriel Guy Fries were united in marriage on June 3, 2006, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Danbury, Iowa. Rev. Terry Roder officiated the ceremony. A reception and dance followed at Dana Hall in Danbury.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Jean Barry of Danbury and the granddaughter of Mary Jean Barry, the late William Barry and the late Andy and Ann Seuntjens all of Danbury. The groom is the son of Kenneth and Marla Fries of Benkelman, Nebraska, and the grandson of Dorothy Zediker and the late John Zediker of Mapleton and Guy and Melba Fries of Benkelman.
The bride, wearing a white halter A-line gown with a beaded bodice with an overlay with lace and bead detailing, was given in marriage by her father. The bride’s sister, Brenda Dalton of Omaha, Nebraska, was Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Allison Dirksen of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jennifer Anderson of Denver, Colorado and Katie Fitzpatrick of Omaha, all friends of the bride; and Alicia Fries of Benkelman, sister-in-law of the groom. The flower girl was Ella Dalton, godchild and niece of the bride, of Omaha.
The groom’s brother, Josh Fries of Benkelman, was the Best Man. Groomsmen were Greg Jorgensen of Davenport, Iowa, and Justin Horner of Fremont, Nebraska, both friends of the groom; Brian Barry of Danbury, brother of the bride; and Jed Dalton of Omaha, brother-in-law of the bride. The ring bearer was Easton Fries, nephew of the groom of Benkelman.
After their honeymoon trip to the El Dorado Royale Spa & Resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple resides in West Omaha where Jan is in computer software sales for ProData Computer Services and Gabe is a credit manager for Wells Fargo Financial.
Stacy Ann Bollig and David Dean Pithan exchanged marriage vows on June 9, 2006, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Mapleton. A reception with a dinner and a dance followed at the Anthon Community Center. The bride is the daughter of Kirk and Julie Bollig of Mapleton. The groom is the son of Allan and Polly Pithan of Anthon.
Included in the wedding party was the sister of the bride, Jill Bollig as Maid of Honor and Heidi Bumann, Angie Schrunk and Amy Bechen as bridesmaids. The flower girl was Cheyenne HIll. The best man was the groom’s father, Allan Pithan. Mike Pithan, Jeff Hill and Cody Klaschen were groomsmen. The ring bearer was Austin Hazard with Henry Pithan as honorary ring bearer. The ushers were Keith Schrunk, Tony Hill and Travis Hazard.
The bride is a graduate of Briar Cliff University with a degree in Elementary Education and is a substitute. The groom works for Pithan Feedlots and raises show calves.
The couple is home in rural Anthon following a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park.
St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury was the setting for the wedding of Traci Brouillette and Nate Fichter both of Sioux Falls, SD. The ceremony took place on April 22, 2006.
Traci's parents are Gary and Pat Brouillette ofMapleton, IA. Nate's parents are Darwin and Marcia Fichter of Farragut, IA.
The bride's sister, Tonya Heiman was matron of honor. Her bridesmaids were Tara Koob, sister of the bride; Megan Nelson, sister of the groom; and Wendi Kistler, friend of the couple. The flower girls were Haley and Ellie Koob, nieces of bride.
The groom's best man wasPete Peterson, friend of the couple. His groomsmen were John Haber, Shawn Foy, and Jerod Burns, friends of the couple.
Ushers were Rian Rasmussen and Kurt Hemmingsen, friends of the couple, and Dan Leslie and Chris Leslie, cousins of the groom.
The reception was held at Willow Vale Golf Course in Mapleton.
Following a 10-day honeymoon to St. Marten, Netherlands Antilles, the couple is making their home in Sioux Falls.
