Congratulations, Amber and Calvin!

   Amber Rita Boysen and Calvin Michael Moser were united in marriage on Friday, September 1, 2006.
   Father David Hemann officiated the ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ida Grove. The altar was decorated with ferns and candelabras. Also on the altar, was a vase with four roses in memory of the coupleÕs deceased grandparents. The pews were decorated with flowers, greenery, and silver ribbon bows.
   Parents of the couple are Tony and Mary Boysen of Ida Grove and Dean and Barb Moser of Danbury. Grandparents of the bride are Melvin and Alice Boysen of Danbury. Grandparents of the groom are Don and Katie Moser of Danbury and Wilfred Berning of Mapleton.
   The bride, escorted down the aisle by her father, wore an elegant white satin off-the-shoulder A-line gown with beaded Venise lace accents. Tiny white roses were scattered on the grand cathedral train. She wore elbow length white gloves. The finger-tip veil and tiara were a perfect fit in her styled hair, which was styled by Farrah Jarvis. Her bouquet consisted of white and navy roses of various sizes, a string of her grandmother RitaÕs pearls were entwined among the flowers and greenery. In the bouquet was a handkerchief which belonged to her grandpa Ray.
   The maid of honor was Tonya Young, friend of the bride of Ida Grove. Bridesmaids were Tracy Kastner, friend of the bride of Schleswig; Trisha Redenius, friend of the bride of Pekin, IL; Rachel Moser, sister of the groom of Cedar Falls; and Kristin Boysen, sister-in-law of the bride of Ida Grove. They wore navy satin strapless ball gowns with a rhinestone brooch at the side of the waist. They all wore navy elbow length gloves that matched their gowns. They carried a single white rose arranged with two small navy roses, greenery, and silver ribbon and beads.
   The flower girl was Lexi Weber, cousin of the couple of Danbury. She wore a white sleeveless satin A-line gown with beaded lace appliquŽs on the bodice and cut-out lace hem on the train, similar to the bride. She wore white elbow length gloves and carried a white satin basket filled with navy petals.
   The groom wore a black tuxedo with a white shirt, white vest, and white tie. His boutonniere was two small roses.
   The ring bearer was Daltyn Swanger, cousin of the groom of Battle Creek. He was dressed to match the groom.
   Andy Boyle, friend of the groom of Ames was the best man. Groomsmen were Brian Ortner, friend of the groom of Ames; Chris Meier, friend of the groom of Iowa City; Corey Hamman, friend of the groom of Mapleton; and E.J. Colshan, friend of the groom of Flandreau, SD.
   Guests were ushered to their seats by Nathan Boysen, brother of the bride of Ida Grove; Kyle Boysen, brother of the bride of Omaha, and Darek Boysen, brother of the bride of Sheldon. The groomsmen, ushers, and both fathers all wore black tuxedos, white shirts, navy vests, and navy ties. Their boutonnieres were a single white rose.
   Lector was Lori Berning, aunt of the groom of Anthon.
   Organist was Nancy Bielenberg, friend of the bride of Schleswig. Soloist was Sharon Kruse, friend of the brideÕs family of Danbury. The songs sung were: ÒGod, A Woman, and a ManÓ and ÒYouÕre the InspirationÓ.
   The candles in the candelabras on the altar were lit by Darek Boysen, brother of the bride. The white aisle runner was unrolled by the brideÕs brother, Kyle.
   The bride chose, RanaÕ Lansink, a friend, as her personal attendant. Flowers were designed, arranged, and attended by Angela Rehse, cousin of the bride of Ida Grove. Attending the guest book was Erin Weber, cousin of the bride of Mapleton.
   After the ceremony the bride, groom, and wedding party were driven to the reception and dance in a trolley, which was pulled by the brideÕs brother DarekÕs International ÒHÓ tractor, and was driven by the brideÕs grandfather Melvin Boysen. The reception and dance were held at the Skate Palace in Ida Grove. Dining room hosts and hostesses were Dennis & Peggy Weber, uncle and aunt of the bride of Mapleton and Doug and Barb Moser, uncle and aunt of the groom of Danbury.
   Punch was poured by Melanie Boysen and Brittany McBride, both cousins of the bride of Danbury. The wedding cake was a four-tiered cake surrounded by eight heart shaped cakes. The cake was baked and decorated by Kim Boysen, aunt of the bride of Danbury. Cake cutters were Shirley Boysen, aunt of the bride of Omaha and Pat Knutson, Godmother of the bride of St. Paul, NE. The meal was catered by Sheila Redenius of Ida Grove. The D.J. for the dance was Tracey Schechinger, ÒIn KahootsÓ of Manilla.
   The bride is a 2002 graduate of Battle Creek-Ida Grove High School and a 2004 graduate of Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City. She is employed at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison as a medical transcriptionist. The groom is a 2002 graduate of Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto High School and a 2004 graduate of Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City. He is employed at Caleris Inc. in Manning as a technical support representative. The couple is at home in Manilla.
