SIOUX CITY (Morningside College) Ñ Four area students have been named to the Dean’s Honor List at Morningside College for the spring 2007 semester.
The Dean’s Honor List recipents are the following:
Katie Hoaglund, daughter of Dave and Joan Hoaglund of Mapleton, Iowa. Hoaglund is a junior who is majoring in elementary education.
Preston Pierce, son of Pat and Sharon Pierce of Anthon, Iowa. Pierce is a junior who is majoring in business administration with an emphasis in finance.
Eric Roggatz, son of Doug and Kris Roggatz of Anthon. Roggatz is a junior who is majoring in engineering physics.
Samantha Wenger, daughter of Tony and Lisa Wenger of Danbury, Iowa. Wenger is a senior who is majoring in political science.
All four students are past graduates of Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto High School.
Each semester the Dean’s Honor List recognizes students who achieve a 3.67 grade point average or better and complete at least 12 hours of course work with no grade below a “C-.” Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the College William C. Deeds recently released the spring 2007 list, and each student received a letter of recognition from Deeds.
Morningside College enrolled 1,722 full-time and part-time students for the 2006-07 academic year and welcomes students of all faiths and backgrounds. Morningside offers five bachelor’s degrees, including bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music, bachelor of music education, and bachelor of science in nursing, and a master of arts in teaching degree. The college was founded in 1894 by the Methodist Episcopal Church and remains affiliated with the United Methodist Church today.
