The Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office is taking advantage of the Danbury Story Hour to conduct a bicycle safety program on July 12th at 3:30. The course consists of instruction on the safe operation of a bicycle and bicycle maintenance. In addition, representatives from Mercy Child Advocacy Centers Safe Kids Program will be present to check all youngster’s safety helmets for proper fit. All are invited to attend the bicycle program even if you choose not to attend Story Hour for any reason. The bicycle safety course will be held rain or shine.
There will be registration slips for a boy’s and girl’s bicycle give-away to be held at the Woodbury County Fair on Sunday, August 5, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. You need not be present to win. The bikes have been donated by Traum Security of Sioux City. Registration for the drawing will be conducted at the bicycle safety programs throughout Woodbury County. You need not be present to win.
