Dimmitt And Roadman Scholars Named For 2006-2007 Academic Year

   One hundred nineteen Morningside College students were named Dimmitt Scholars in recognition of high academic achievement, and 102 students were named Roadman Scholars in recognition of very high academic achievement for the 2006-07 academic year.
   The following students were named Dimmitt Scholars:
   Mellisa Flanigan of Sioux City. She is married to Dennis Flanigan. The couple has two children.
   Kristina McGrain, daughter of Ron and Trudy McGrain Mapleton, is a junior who is majoring in Elementary Education.
   Eric Roggatz, son of Doug and Kris Roggatz of Anthon, is a junior who is majoring in Engineering Physics.
   Dimmitt Scholars must be full-time students who have completed at least 45 semester hours of college work with a cumulative grade point average between 3.50 and 3.75. The Dimmitt Scholar designation is named in honor of the late Miss Lillian Dimmitt, who served as a teacher and administrator at Morningside College for more than 60 years.
   The following students have been named Roadman Scholars:
   Sammy Wenger, daughter of Tony and Lisa Wenger of Danbury, a senior who is majoring in Political Science.
   Katie Hoaglund, daughter of Dave and Joan Hoaglund Mapleton, a junior who is majoring in Elementary Education.
   Preston Pierce, son of Pat and Sharon Pierce of Anthon, a junior who is majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
   Kristen Westergaard, daughter of Jim and Kathy Westergaard of Mapleton, a senior who is majoring in Biology.
   Roadman Scholars must be full-time students who have completed at least 45 semester hours of college work with a cumulative grade point average of 3.76 or above. The Roadman Scholar designation is named in honor of the late Dr. Earl Roadman, longtime president of Morningside College.
