Willow Dale Wellness Village residents and staff are proud to introduce Betty Treiber, as May employee of the month.
Betty has lived all her life in the Danbury/Battle Creek area. She is the 4th child of the late Leo & Agnes Treiber. Betty grew up on the family farm with her four sisters and one younger brother who still farms today. Betty is extremely proud that all of the Treiber girls ended up in the medical profession in one capacity or the other.
Betty graduated with a class of 112 in 1977 from Maple Valley High School in Mapleton. In the fall of 1976, she began work at Willow Dale Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide. Following a short sabbatical, Betty came back to Willow Dale in 1984 and has been working as a full time 10/6 CMA/CNA since.
Betty is particularly proud of her two children Becky (Mrs. Jesse) DeLong and Kevin. She is extremely pleased they both chose to live in Battle Creek. Betty is overjoyed at being a grandmother and is delighted she has her three grandsons, Blake, Adam and Bailey, close by to play with and spoil.
In her spare time Betty enjoys working on-call at Horn Hospital. She also enjoys crocheting, baking, and raising lots of plants.
Of working at Willow Dale Betty stated “it has been my life a long time.Émy home away from home”. Betty says she has met and enjoyed a lot of people in her years at Willow Dale. “The family atmosphere here makes it all worth it”. Treating staff & residents like family is what has kept Betty at her job so long! “I am blessed not only with my family at home, but with my Willow Dale family also”, Betty stressed.
