MVAO Music Boosters

The Maple Valley-Anthon Oto school district has an organization called the MVAO Music Boosters. This organization promotes the welfare of the school’s instrumental and vocal music programs through financial help, improved public relations, and improving the student-parent-teacher communication. All parents of instrumental and vocal students who are in 5-12 band and 6-12 choir are members of the MVAO Music Boosters. The Music Boosters will carry on activities that are in the best interests of the band and vocal members, in keeping with school policies, and consistent with community practice. Meetings are held on an as needed basis. Our current president is Sharyl Bruning and secretary/treasurer is Crista Else.
There will be a Music Booster meeting on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the High School Commons. You are all encouraged to come and support the music programs by being a part of the Boosters.
If you have any questions concerning this organization please feel free to contact one the music teachers in our district, Mr. Smeltzer and Mr. Freking at the High School or Mrs. Else and Mrs. Schwartzkopf at the Middle School.
We hope to see you there!

AOMV September Hawks of the Month

Each month the staff from AOMV picks two students from each class as the Hawk of the Month. These are the September Hawks of the Month.

Anthon Oto-Maple Valley Pink Panther Club Members

Students at AOMV are challenged to read Accelerated Reading books throughout the school career. This challenge begins in elementary school. As an incentive to read, the students at AOMV are initiated into the Pink Panther Club when they reach 500 points. The first month of every school adds a number of sixth graders who have surpassed the 500 points in elementary school. Pictured above are the members of the Pink Panther Club. Those in the front row are new members.
