Students Named to Morningside Dean's List at Morningside

   Kristen Westergaard, daughter of Kathy and Jim Westergaard of Mapleton; Katie Hoaglund, daughter of Joan and Dave Hoaglund of Mapleton; and Preston Pierce, son of Sharon and Pat Pierce of Anthon were named to the Morningside College Dean's List. Westergaard achieved a 4.0 grade point average for the 2007 fall semester.
   The Dean’s Honor List recognizes students who achieve a 3.67 grade point average or better and complete at least 12 credits of completed course work with no grade below a “C-.” Each student received a letter of recognition from Deeds.
   Morningside College enrolled 1,798 full-time and part-time students for the 2007 fall term and welcomes students of all faiths and backgrounds. Morningside offers five bachelor’s degrees, including bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music, bachelor of music education, and bachelor of nursing, and a master of arts in teaching degree. The college was founded in 1894 by the Methodist Episcopal Church and remains affiliated with the United Methodist Church today.
