Living through adversity! Everybody at one time or another has had adversities to work through. What’s important is how we deal with them. Some people sail through life with a breeze yet some people have a hard time working through a divorce, the death of a loved one or whatever the situation may be. Even if we are Christians it can be hard, God never gives us more than we can handle, our attitude and mindset is the key to it all.
The apostle Paul faced many difficulties preaching the Gospel II Cor.11: 23-27 says in short: He had been in prison many times, whipped numbers of times, beaten with rods, stoned and left for dead, shipped wrecked three times, hungry and without sleep numerous times. God gave him the grace to get through it. It’s same with us. God gives us the grace to get through our difficulties. We must know who the real the enemy is. John 10:10 say: The thief {Satan} comes to kill steal and destroy, but I {Jesus} came to give life and live more abundantly.
I lost my wife from cancer at the age of 48; seven years later I was diagnosed with cancer. Through it all I never blamed God. If we get into bitterness and unforgiveness when we lose a loved one, go through a divorce, or whatever we have to deal with, we will find ourselves moving farther away from God with growing hatred toward him. God gave his son to die for us; he loves us and wants his best for us.
If you think you’re not right with God, please understand we were all born with a sin nature with the fall of Adam and Eve. The only way we can change is by asking Jesus into our heart, tell him you have sinned and ask him to forgive you Just confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved.
Don’t think that you lived a life so terrible that you have to straighten your life out first. No! It makes no difference; we have all sinned. God will forgive you. Think of it this way, if you’re physically not well you would go to the doctor right! If you’re spiritually not well go to God and He will help.
God Bless!
