Got Trees Down After the Storm?

We've had a couple storms in the past month that have left large branches and even limbs on the ground. Following heavy winds, City Maintenance Man Greg Pithan will unlock the lagoon so that large branches and limbs can be taken directly there instead of to the compost pile. He will keep it unlocked long enough so that all will have a chance to get their yards cleaned up.
Please don't expect the city to dispose of your downed branches. They already have a day full of jobs, and they then need to add cleaning up the city-owned property (streets, park, apartment, etc.) after a storm. Depending on the storm, just that clean up can take a good chunk of time.
If you ever need to take large branches to the lagoon, a key is available to check out at city hall. The office is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 until 11:30.
The city thanks you for your assistance.
Oh, and remember, the compost pile is for grass, leaves and small branches. It is not for garbage, flooring, and appliances. The DNR and EPA monitor the compost area (and the lagoon) and can close them if they are abused.
