Last Chance for April Fool's Stories

We've had a couple entries come in for this contest, but we sure would like some more. I know there are some very creative people out there. Now's your chance to prove it!
We've all seen the headlines about people having alien babies or babies with heads of animals or celebrities doing something mundane which becomes blown out of proportion by the tabloids. Well, the headline which is inspiring this contest had to do with a certain actress/singer emitting gas from her bottom during a speech. Wow! That is certainly worth wasting space! Well, we are challenging you to become writers of the most outlandish story for your April Fools issue which will actually be our March 31st issue. Still with me?
Simply come up with a story about anything you wish. Remember, it does have to be inoffensive (no foul language, innuendos, racism, etc.). Also, if you decide to write about a specific person, we need that person's permission. This is NOT a place to write demeaning stuff about someone to get them back for doing something mean. This is all for fun!
The winning author or group of authors will get either $10 (valued at $10) or a free year subscription (valued at $16-$22), whichever they choose. While there is no size requirements, something about the size of this article would be lovely. The winning story will make the front page on March 31st, and all submissions which meet the requirements will be printed inside the issue.
Oh, how do you submit these masterpieces? While emailing to review@danbury-ia.com is preferred, they can also be mailed to The Danbury Review, Box 207, Danbury, IA 51019 or faxed to 712-893-2001. They may also be dropped off at our "office" at 209 Thomas St. in Danbury (if you call and I'm home I'll meet you at the curb) or at Colbert's Market at 111 Main St. in Danbury.
We need all submissions by Friday, March 26th, please.
   Happy writing!

Your Next Caption Challenge

Here's your next caption. Got any ideas? Come up with a caption for this picture and send it to us by email at review@danbury-ia.com or mail at The Danbury Review, Box 207, Danbury, IA 51019 or call or fax at 712-893-2001 (leave a message if need be) or drop them off at our "office" at 209 Thomas St. or Colbert's Market at 111 Main St.
The deadline will be April 12th. The winner will be announced in the April 14th issue if there is enough space. The winner will receive 6 months of the Review.
   Good luck!

A Couple More Captions

Sandstorm returns one more time. Last week I was given the honor of taking Justin to the Twin Cities for college stuff, and in order to get the Review out before taking off, I had to be done a day early. Some captions came across our path after we went to press. Those captions are "This Cat is a P.C.," and "My new e-mail address is dnby/kittykat.com."
