    The Rams opened their season in Onawa. The home team kicked off their season in a positive way with 3 runs in the first inning. The Rams answered back in the fifth with 5 runs and tacked on 3 more over the next two innings. However, the Spartans weren't going quietly and walked it off in the final frame.
    Bryndall Paterson had the big stick on this night with a triple and a single, bringing in 2 runs. Alex Wonder had a couple singles. Brenna Mammen and and Marley Scott both recorded a stolen base.
    Brynn Jacobson got the loss, pitching to 37 batters over the 7 innings. She struck out 3 batters, sent 8 to first on free passes, and allowed 10 hits.

    The Rams held their home opener on May 28th. The Rams had some great hits, but their defense was a little rough on this night at times which aided the Lady Reds a bit.
    Bryndall Paterson had a single hit, a double which brought in both of the Ram runs.
    Caitlee Koenigs started the game at the mound, pitching the first 6 innings. Facing 36 batters, she struck out 1, gave 7 free trips to first, and allowed 9 hits and 9 runs. Faith Smeltzer pitched the final inning. Facing 3 batters, all were retired using Ram defense.

    The Rams hosted their tournament over the final weekend of May. Their first opponent were the Wildcats who came out of the chute raring to go. While the Rams totaled a respectable 9 runs, G-R pounded the runs across to top the Rams with 17 runs.
    Brenna Mammen had a double for the biggest Ram hit and walked twice. Alex Wonder singled twice and garnered 4 RBIs. Mammen and Wonder both earned 2 stolen bases.
    In this shortened game, Brynn Jacobson started at the mound and pitched 2.1 innings. Facing 25 batters, she struck out 1, walked 2, and allowed 15 hits and runs. Faith Smeltzer finished at the mound. Facing 6 batters, she allowed 3 hits and 2 runs.

    The Rams opened their season in Sloan on May 26th. The game was a bit shortened as the guests put 16 runs on the board in the first 4 innings while blanking the Rebels.
    Each Ram who played on this night crossed home plate at least once. The big hit came from Bo Clausen who hit a home run and a double. Bronx Siebersma and Collin Smeltzer both doubled once and singled twice. Brayton Paterson doubled and singed. Cade Schmidt singled three times while Jaydon Bailey singled twice. Clausen led in stolen bases with 3. Tanner Dixon, Siebersma, and Bailey all stole a couple bases.
    Schmidt pitched all 4 innings of this shortened game and had a stellar night at the mound. Facing 17 batters, he struck out 12 and sent 4 to first base on free passes.

    The Rams traveled to Onawa where they again played a shortened game. Actually, going into the fifth inning, the guests were only up by 8, not enough to activate the 10 run rule. However, they poured it on in the fifth and put 12 runs across the plate. The Spartans also have a multi-run fifth, but not enough to keep the game going.
    Cade Schmidt sent the ball soaring for a home run and also doubled at this game. Brayton Paterson and Caden Kuhlmann both doubled and singled. Tanner Dixon also doubled. Jake Scott earned a couple singles. Bo Clausen walked 4 times. Kuhlmann led the team in stolen bases with 3. Clausen and Smeltzer both stole a couple bases.
    Smeltzer started the game at the mound, getting the win. Facing 23 batters in 4.1 innings, he struck out 7, sent 7 to first by walking, and allowed just 1 hit and 5 runs. Clausen finished the game at the mound, facing 2 batters. He struck out both batters.

    For the first game this season, no Ram blasted a home run. Brayton Paterson doubled and singled. Bo Clausen and Caden Kuhlmann both got their 2 RBIs from a single each. Jake Scott and Collin Smeltzer both singled a couple times. Jaydon Bailey reached first base on errors twice. Leading in stolen bases were Clausen, Tanner Dixon, and Bronx Siebersma with 2 each.
    Cade Schmidt started the game at the mound, pitching 1.1 innings and facing 4 batters. He struck out 2 of those batters and allowed no hits or runs. Paterson pitched 2.2 innings, facing 13 batters. He struck out 6, walked 3, and allowed 2 hits and runs. Scott pitched 3 innings, facing 18 batters and throwing 89 pitches.
